Hi Ladies!I am planning a Ladies only Texas Concealed Handgun class for Sunday June 10th at Elm Fork. I need at least 5 ladies to make a class. The cost is $125 and it will be from 8am-6pm.I am required by the state to give a 10 hour course that includes range time also. We will go over gun maintenance and cleaning as well as give you plenty of practice time at the range before you have to qualify with your firearm. This is something that no other CHL instructor does, but is extremely important. If you do not know how to shoot a firearm, I highly suggest you take the Handguns and High heels clinic on Sunday, June 3rd from 2-5 at Elm Fork. For info on the clinic please go to www.lipstickandlead.comPlease RSVP with me so I know how many we will have. If you have a friend that might be interested, invite her. It is always more fun to have all your girlfriends with you!
Concealed Handguns License Getting Started:
The hyperlink below will take you to the Official Texas Concealed Handgun website.
This web page tells you everything you need to know to apply for a license. You should familiarize yourself with the information, requirements and restrictions as outlined by the State of Texas and Federal Firearms Laws. It is not necessary to finish the application process before taking your concealed handgun training, however, before taking your training please make sure you qualify to carry concealed.

The training is 10 hours total which includes classroom and handgun proficiency.
You will be expected to provide eye protection, ear protection, ammo and a pistol (these things can be rented or purchased at the range) as well as pay for your license, fingerprints and passport photo. If you do not have these things, please discuss it with me prior to your qualify date at the range. I do have a few extra guns, eye, and ear protection I can provide them for you if arrangements have been made ahead of time. All classroom materials such as books, tests, and props will be a part of your class fees.
It is always a good idea to purchase extra ammo for practice before you qualify. If you are already very proficient then a 50 round box of range ammo is all that will be necessary.
Please do not bring hollow point or self protection rounds to the range. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time. When it comes to safety, no question is insignificant to me!
Thank you for choosing me as your teacher for the Texas Concealed Handgun License Course.
Your ability to protect yourself and your family is very important to me. I will try to make it a positive and fun personal experience for you to get legal to carry concealed.
